Though I may not have my time in the Project Runway light yet, I will at least know the area before I take that competition by storm. Today I had the task of collecting fabric swatches for The Reformation, the company I'm currently interning for. While I was internally freaking out, I grabbed the list of fabrics and color palette and headed towards the Garment District. I started at Mood fabrics (even saw Swatch, the dog!) then went around to other ones such as B&J and some janky, foreign-owned fabric shops that weren't as successful. Don't worry, I bought a Mood "tote" bad as a souvenir, I'm sure I'll be back for a t-shirt to match!
